Pineridge Youth Emily Raises $160 with Popup Lemonade Stand

Inspirational youth Emily raises $160 with lemonade and treat stand at local community garage sale.

On Saturday, June 21st, Gravenhurst Rotarian Kay Godden organized a garage sale in her Pineridge Community.  Neighbouring homeowners showed up and provided proceeds in support of the Gravenhurst Health Hub project. 

Visiting granddaughter Emily, aware of the crisis facing Gravenhurst residents in need of primary health care setup a lemonade and treat stand. On behalf of the Gravenhurst Health Hub project and the Rotary Club of Gravenhurst, we would like to highlight the work of Emily who, with a big smile and an even bigger heart, raised $160 to support the development of our Health Hub.

Emily said yes to becoming part of something bigger than herself – a local solution to a decades long problem.  Her actions remind us that community support starts with one small act of kindness and every dollar raised brings us closer to making the Health Hub a reality for Gravenhurst.
