Inaugural Spirit of Scotch Fundraiser a “Great Event!”

“Wow, what a great event,” was the common sentiment from those that attended the Rotary Club of Gravenhurst’s inaugural Spirit of Scotch fundraising event held May 24, 2025.

Over 110 people attended the event, which raised over $18,000 with all proceeds going to support the Gravenhurst Health Hub.

The evening started with the traditional address to the haggis followed by tasting of a selection of very fine scotch which was paired with excellent food prepared by The Oar Restaurant. Throughout the evening, several bottles of rare scotch and fine wine was auctioned off to very generous patrons.  We are grateful for your support.

The host, scotch sommelier and auctioneer for the event was Rotary’s very own Steve Rae whose entertaining skills, experience and enthusiasm created an atmosphere that was fun and full of camaraderie.

A big thank you to Steve Rae, our sponsors and the many volunteers who made the Rotary Club’s first Spirit of Scotch event a huge success.

Be sure to mark May 23, 2026 in your calendar for next years Spirit of Scotch event presented by the Rotary Club of Gravenhurst.
